Local Christian congregation actively supports and celebrates the Nation of Israel.

San Antonio Texas; March 17, 2010.

The Celebrate Israel Conference, hosted by Dr. LaSalle R Vaughn and the New Life Christian Center congregation, promotes support for Israel and celebrates her establishment as a Nation on May 14, 1948.  The Conference is designed to inspire Christians to love the People, Land, Torah, and God of Israel and empower them to support the Nation of Israel.   Beginning on May 12, 14-16, 2010, the Celebrate Israel conference will be a time of joyous celebration and honor.

The Celebrate Israel conference will be kicked off on Wednesday with Portia Brooks Vaughn speaking on "The New Revolution". Friday May 14th 2010 with Connie Bachman speaking at an authentic Shabbat dinner beginning at 7pm on "The Voice of the Turtle Dove".  This festive dinner, hosting upwards of 400 individuals, is design to allow people to fellowship with food, family, and fun..  In addition to the dinner, there will be dancing and family style activities. Experts on Israel and Middle East affairs will conduct workshops on Saturday May 15th from 10am-1:30pm. Workshops will begin with Gary Bachman teaching on "Hazeinu (Listen Up)" followed by Dr. LaSalle R. Vaughn teaching on the year of 2012.  The keynote speaker for the Celebrate Israel Conference, Robert Stearns, will take center stage on Sunday May 16th, at 11am.  This speaker promises to be exciting and full of revelation. 

Dr. Vaughn and Robert Stearns are both leaders with a purpose in uniting both Jews and Christians. Dr. Vaughn is also the city director for Christians United for Israel (CUFI), which is directed by local Pastor John Hagee. Dr. Vaughn was recently quoted as saying “The best thing that could have united Pastor Hagee and I is our mutual love for Israel. We both believe what the Bible says about her.” Although support for Israel among black pastors is low, Dr. Vaughn has constructed the bridge by which black leaders can cross and join forces with Israel.
