Ushers / Greeters
We all contribute to the climate of our church, but ushers and greeters can be trend-setters and models for the congregational environment. They put the welcoming arms of the church around the shoulders of all who come to worship. Ushers and greeters promote a climate of friendship, acceptance, and surrounding love, and they enable the warmth of respect and the certain knowledge that we are all children of God. Greeters and ushers are the "first contact" with the congregation for many people who visit our services. The number one question visitors want answered is: "Is this a friendly congregation?" They start forming their answer based in large part on how welcoming and helpful these official representatives of the church are. The Ushers support the ministry by meeting and greeting the congregation. Ushers facilitate seating and order in the sanctuary during service. Our house doorkeepers work hard to make the congregation as comfortable as possible. There is nothing like receiving a welcoming smile and a warm hug when you walk in the sanctuary doors. The Ushers are looking for people who would like to be a part of their ministry.
If you are interested please see Sister Lane or anyone of our ushers/greeters.
