Jewish Connection

Walk anywhere on our campus and you will sense a strong Jewish influence. From our majestic Sea of Galilee replica, or our beautiful western wall replica, or the alternating American & Israeli flags encircling the campus, the Jewish impact is clearly evident.

Join us for a worship service and you might experience Israel day/Banner day: a service honoring the God, Word, People, and Land of Israel, or enjoy Davidic song & dance, or pray using a Tallit during midnight prayer, or witness our tithing worship in our replica of the Ark of the Covenant.

As a visitor to New Life, you might wonder why we embrace Israel and the Jewish culture. First and foremost let me assure you that anything you see at New Life always has a scriptural basis. We believe in the entire Bible from Genesis to Revelation.

The bible describes the plight of the Jewish people from Egypt to the promised Land of Israel. In Exodus, God gave the Jewish people the Torah (first five books). The Torah provides guidelines and instructions for living – often referred to as the law.

Fast-forward several hundred years and Jesus completes the messianic prophecies. Jesus was born a Jew. Our Lord studied and lived his life according to the guidelines and instructions of the Torah.

In our quest to learn more about JESUS, we embrace his roots, heritage, and culture. We study the Torah. We embrace Jewish history and customs. We sing Hebrew songs. We travel to Israel and we pray daily for her. I firmly believe that the God of Israel, His Word, Land, and His people are inseparable. To understand one, we must study and embrace them all.

Revelation says that in the last days the body of Christ is supposed to embrace Israel. At New Life, we make a concerted effort to support and align ourselves with Israel - the apple of God’s eye. The links below will tell you more about the references to many of the Hebraic customs you might see on campus.

We want you to understand that we are not Jews, were are not Messianic, but we are Christians Returning to the Hebraic Roots of our Faith. We understand that we are saved by the redeeming work of Jesus alone. It is because of our love for Him that we follow His teaching and instruction (Torah).

If you have a questions about anything you see, I highly encourage you to speak to one of our Elders. The Lord has called them to help lift up my arms and help you, as you transition into our church family.

We will have an Online Yeshiva School soon, which goes into detail about the study of the Torah. Stay tuned in.

May you have a blessed day and may you feel His shalom.

In His Service,

Dr. LaSalle R. Vaughn
