Israel Day

Here at New Life Israel/Banner day is a joyous celebration of the God, Word, His people, and land of Israel. We dedicate every second Sunday for this celebration. We wear bold, colorful clothing to symbolize the diversity of cultures in Israel and within the body of Christ. One of the hallmarks of our Israel/Banner is banner ministry. For Israelites the banner was a sign carried to give a group a rallying point. Hebrew terms translated with the English word banner are “degel” and “nes.” Banners helped prepared the way of the Lord and proclaimed his presence ascribing to Him the glory due his name. Psalm 96:8.

King David used banner and standards to proclaim the prevailing power and presence of our god. The banners was also used as rallying point for groups with a common interest, such as a call for an army to assemble, or as a signal that battle was to begin. So here at New Life we are involved in the same declaration. Raising a banner or standard as a sign of identification and victory is found throughout biblical history.

Psalm 60:4-5. But for those who fear you, you have raised a banner to be unfurled against the bow.

Song of Solomon 2:4. He has taken me to the banquet hall, and his banner over me is love.

Psalm 20:5. We will shout for joy when you are victorious and will lift up our banners in the name of our god.

May the Lord grant all your request.

During our service, we sing and worship in a style of worship called Hebraic & Davidic worship that focuses on the presence of the Lord in the midst of His people. You will see praise dancers, hear songs sung in Hebrew dialect, and hear prayers for Israel – the apple of God’s eye.
